Captive Channel’s management team is an entrepreneurial group comprised of experts in their respective fields.

Zee Najar, President
Mr. Najar co-founded Captive Channel in 2005 and guides the corporate vision and direction to create Canada's largest in-store grocery communication network. Mr. Najar has been on the frontier of new business ventures and has successfully created some of Canada's most dynamic enterprises.

Mr. Najar was formerly founder and President of Cashlink, one of Canada’s largest ATM solutions for the retail sector. Mr. Najar was also the founder and President of Dereg Business Solutions, a business venture servicing the deregulation of energy, banking, and the telecommunication sector. Mr. Najar's networking within the grocery environment, coupled with a vision to build synergy between retailers and manufacturers, has been vital to the success and rapid growth of Captive Channel.

Raul Sukraj, Vice-President, Technology
As co-founder of Captive Channel, Mr. Sukraj was responsible for the architecture and development of the Captive Channel Network at inception, and continues to focus on design and development of Captive Channel.

Prior to Captive Channel, Mr. Sukraj spent six years in R&D as a lead software developer at DataMirror corporation, a leading provider of real-time data integration and data protection solutions. Mr. Sukraj has also worked as a software developer for companies such as IBM, Bank of Montreal, Greater Toronto Airports Authority, and the Department of National Defense.

Mr. Sukraj holds an Honors degree in Mathematics, specializing in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, from the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, ON.

Glenn Davies, Vice-President Sales
Glenn has built a successful career in media buying, sales and sales management for the past 29 years. The discipline of media buying was learned during 2 years at MBS, one Canada’s largest billing agencies. Media sales began in radio broadcasting via Telemedia and evolved into sales management for the last 5 years of Glenn’s 10 years with the company. Glenn made the transition to Radio Canada (French CBC Television) as General Manager of the Toronto office for 6 years. In 1995, TVA (RC’s chief competitor in Quebec) appointed Glenn as V.P. Sales & Marketing for all sales outside the province of Quebec. This included responsibility for U.S. clients.

 

Raffaella Vavasour, Director, Operations
Raffaella Vavasour oversees core business and operational development functions for Captive Channel. Mrs. Vavasour maintains accountability amongst all business areas to ensure the company maximizes its potential sales and human capital.

Mrs. Vavasour joined Captive Channel from the Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers (CFIG) where she was the Sr. Manager of the Member Services department and brings a wealth of knowledge from the retail/grocery industry to Captive Channel.

Mrs. Vavasour graduated from Ryerson University where she obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree.

 

Nancy-Jane Collard, Sales Executive
Nancy-Jane Collard has 20 years of media sales experience - 3 years Maclean Hunter (Magazine Division), 5 years Paul Mulvihill (Radio), and 12 years in television broadcast sales within French Canada via SRC, TVA and TQS.

Donna Wright, Sales Executive
Donna Wright brings 26 years of media buying and selling experience. Media buying/planning - 3 years Saffer Advertising, 2 years Ross Roy Advertising, 2 years Gray O’Rourke. Media sales consist of a solid background in both Radio and Television with 7 years Paul Mulvihill (radio) and 12 years between TVA/TQS (television).

Jackie Boudreau, Sales Executive
Jackie Boudreau has 15 years of media sales experience – 3.5 years at CFTO-TV, 3.5 years at WIC, and 8 years in television broadcast sales with TQS network.

Kelly Quesnel, Sales Executive
Kelly Quesnel has 9 years of media buying and selling experience – 5 years of media buying for both TV and Radio at Optimedia and 4 years television broadcast sales with TQS network.
